
Senior Associate / Business Transition Consultant
Gary Anderson is a Senior Associate with ValueCap Inc. where he consults with business owners and leaders on business transition opportunities.
Gary works with clients in the manufacturing, distribution, and business services industries where he consults on strategic acquisitions, exit and succession planning, valuation enhancement and sell-side opportunities.
Mr. Anderson has more than 20 years of experience driving organizational growth, strategy and planning as well as mergers, acquisitions and integrations. Gary is a well-respected global marketing and business development executive with experience leading functions and business units within multi-billion-dollar, multi-national B2B organizations.
Most recently, he served as the global Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Qualitrol, a Fortive/ Danaher operating company with over $200M in annual sales. As the VP of Marketing and Business Development, he reinvigorated the company’s business development activities, establishing a new pipeline of acquisition opportunities to support the organizations’ strategic objectives. Prior to joining Qualitrol, he served as the VP of Global Marketing for Vertiv, a global, multi-billion-dollar data center infrastructure manufacturer, owned by Platinum Equity. In this role, he created the new brand, a new company identity, modern user interfaces and the initial brand launch communications of the organization as the organization was acquired by Private Equity.
Gary holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Catholic University of America and an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University. He is currently an EIR (Entrepreneur in Residence) for NYSERDA and the RIT Ventures organization where he advises NY/ local technology startups on marketing and operational issues. He is also a SCORE Volunteer Mentor for local businesses as well as providing guidance and consulting to a number of financial and market-based research organizations as an independent advisor. He resides in Pittsford, New York with his wife and three children.
