Jeff DeGarmo is a Senior Associate with ValueCap, Inc. where he helps growth-minded entrepreneurs and private equity investors who want to diversify their investment portfolios identify franchise opportunities and strategic acquisitions that align with their goals and interests.
Whether it is a transition out of the corporate world or a search for a semi-absentee business model that creates a secondary income stream and builds generational wealth, Jeff assists clients through the process of finding the right opportunity.
As well, for successful businesses looking for opportunities to scale, Jeff teaches owners how to franchise and market their concepts to investors.
With more than 25 years of leadership and mentoring experience including creating, acquiring, operating, and selling multiple businesses, Jeff has first-hand experience at every level of entrepreneurship. Most recently, he oversaw the preparation, marketing, negotiation, and due diligence for the sale of his 16-year old advertising agency to a public company. Currently, he owns a multi-unit health and wellness franchise and coaches others on their entrepreneurship journey.
Jeff graduated from the University of Colorado with an Aerospace Engineering degree and was immediately commissioned into the U.S. Navy. He served 8 years providing leadership, strategic planning, and mentoring to his team as a Naval Flight Officer, Airborne Communications Officer, Mission Commander, and Flight Instructor in support of the United States’ Nuclear Command and Control mission. During this time, he started a web development business and transitioned to it full-time after his military career. Eventually, he merged with 2 other businesses to form Cubic, Inc, the advertising agency which he sold in 2019. During his agency time, he served as the CTO and CFO, providing agency management in the areas of technology, business operations, finances, training, and support.
Intertwined in all that he does are a passion for health, wellness, fitness, and nutrition – teaching others how to achieve their goals while leading a healthy and balanced life. That combined with his love for coaching led him to become a certified personal trainer with a fitness nutrition specialty and a triathlon coach. His triathlon career includes 9 Ironman races across the US and abroad. He is married with five children and enjoys coaching youth soccer, flag football, and lacrosse. He regularly provides mentorship with Veterati and Hire Heroes USA and serves as a Coach and Entrepreneurial mentor for The Honor Foundation.
