Peter Skelton is the Strategic Growth Architect at ValueCap and Founder of Odyssey Planning,
LLC, where he helps business owners align their personal goals with strategic business decisions
that drive growth, continuity, and long-term value.

Peter began his career in the insurance brokerage industry in 1992 when he joined his family’s
business, KAFL Insurance Resources. Over the course of his career, he played an integral role in
helping guide the firm through leadership transitions as all three founders successfully exited the
company while the business continued to scale and grow.

That experience shaped Peter’s passion for helping business owners navigate one of the most
important—and often overlooked—questions they face:

Outside of his work with business owners, Peter serves his community as a Commissioner, Fire
Captain, and EMT with the St. Paul Boulevard Fire Department in Irondequoit, New York. He
enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and making memories with his three sons.
